WEDNESDAY VESPERS
Vespers, which means "evening prayer," is offered on Wednesday evenings at 6:45 pm following the St. John's Wednesday Dinner. Wednesday Vespers is an abbreviated service of Word and Sacrament, approximately 30 minutes, with a weekly celebration of Holy Communion.
Wednesday Vespers is a snappy and informal service celebrated in the new Rhyne-White Chapel. We use different worship settings and music styles, including familiar songs, ancient prayer, dynamic scripture reflection and discussion, and newer music like Marty Haugen's "Holden Evening Prayer," "Now the Feast and Celebration," and "Tree of Life." Come and bring a family member or friend! |
